I am proud of the University I work for and am a big advocate of supporting the local economy and encouraging pride in the local region. I started my career in health promotion and having attended and been involved in the planning of conferences and events for over 20 years, I have vast experience of best practice. Now as an academic, I was on the scientific programme committee for BASES annual conference from 2018-2020. As chair of the CEP-UK conference organising committee I led an event in Coventry in 2023 and for 2025 we are hosting the conference in Birmingham.
