Award-winning conference and events venue Millennium Point has unveiled its plans for the festive period which include corporate party packages, public events and more.
Starting in November, the landmark venue in the Eastside of Birmingham city centre will be transformed into a festive wonderland with the return of its giant Christmas tree adorned with 23,000 energy-saving LED lights and accompanied by two large nutcrackers. The tree itself is believed to be the largest in-door tree in the city standing at 39ft tall in the centre of the landmark building’s glass atrium. In addition to the tree, the venue has hinted at other show pieces to delight visitors including singing reindeer. As well as inside, the outside of the building will be illuminated with stars and icicles.
Moving on to its venue, Millennium Point has announced its corporate exclusive and shared party packages for 2022. From £40 per person, businesses can get exclusive hire of the level 1 open-air space, Platform for their Christmas Party. This package includes an arrival drink under the Christmas tree, a two-or-three-course traditional Christmas dinner and a DJ and dancefloor until midnight. The package also includes exclusive use of the fully licenced bar and features branded up-lighters and table crackers and novelties.
Corporates can customise this package with bespoke elements such as the use of the venue’s 354-seat auditorium with a giant screen – formerly the first IMAX in the West Midlands – for awards, speeches, or a Christmas film.
The shared party night is targeted at smaller teams and businesses who still want the big office party experience. For £40 per person, this night includes a three-course meal, a fully licenced bar, DJ, and dancefloor along with all the Christmas novelties from the exclusive party night but shared with other teams.
The venue is encouraging corporates to be quick and take advantage of their early bird incentive which is ending soon. Corporates who confirm their party by 29th July 2022 will have their package upgraded to include complimentary prosecco for every table. In addition, the person who books the event will be entered into a prize draw to win a £100 Amazon voucher. This offer applies to both the exclusive package and shared party night.
Outside of Christmas Parties, Millennium Point is also offering bookers 10% off drinks receptions under their Christmas tree in November and December.
Lastly, for the public, Millennium Point has announced the return of two popular events for the holiday season with a festive Silent Disco and a special screening of a Christmas favourite film in partnership with The Wine and Events Company.
Tickets to the Silent Disco will cost £10 each and will feature three DJs and an assortment of genres from current chart toppers, RnB, and Hip Hop to Old Skool, Rock, Indie and Power Ballads alongside all of the Christmas classics. The last Silent Disco took place in March during the residency of Luke Jerram’s large Earth Artwork Gaia which hung from the glass Atrium.
The second event sees the return of longstanding partners The Wine & Events Company who will host a festive film in the giant screen auditorium with 4 themed drinks and movie trivia. The venue has launched a public vote online and on social media to vote for what film people would like to see on the big screen. The results will be announced with tickets going on sale in August.
Commercial Director Rebecca Delmore comments: “We’re very excited about our Christmas plans for this year. We’ve taken all of what our customers and visitors have enjoyed over the past few years and built upon it to bring what is set to be the best Christmas yet in our landmark venue. It’s never too early for corporates to start thinking about Christmas, and we wanted to give the public something to look forward to in Birmingham’s Eastside during the winter.”
