The City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO) and Hyatt Regency Birmingham have announced a formal partnership that will see them continue to develop their ongoing work together, centred around a shared goal and vision of creating fabulous visitor experiences in Birmingham and beyond.

Together the CBSO and Hyatt Regency Birmingham have created lasting memories for their guests and musicians through special events, ranging from intimate soirees to gala dinners. World class visiting conductors and soloists have sought refuge from their busy schedules and the demands of the stage and indulged in a restful stay, while the Orchestra has built strong relationships with the West Midlands Business Community through networking events complimented by the Hyatt’s outstanding hospitality and service.

Forthcoming collaborations include the CBSO’s Viennese New Year concert (Sunday 8 January 2023), which will be delivered in associated with Hyatt Regency Birmingham.

Hyatt Regency Birmingham will also support two key CBSO events during the 22-23 Season: the Annual Leaders’ Breakfast for the West Midlands Business Community and the Annual Circles’ Dinner, a truly special evening of thanks for individuals who donate £1,000 or more annually to the Orchestra.

Stephen Maddock, Chief Executive of the CBSO said: “We have worked closely with Hyatt Regency Birmingham for several years and, whether it be a Board meeting, a large-scale function, or first-class accommodation for our conductors and soloists, the hospitality and service is always second to none. As two likeminded organisations that pride themselves on providing unbeatable experiences both in Birmingham and far beyond, I am delighted we have created a true partnership with that at its heart.”

Mohammad Labban, General Manager of Hyatt Regency Birmingham, said: ‘"Collaborating with the CBSO is more than just a partnership. It’s also another way of showing our commitment to the city and engagement with the local community. Music is powerful in its wordlessness and a great community needs a great orchestra. We believe the Orchestra brings a community to explore, and to go beyond itself and we are glad to be partnering with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. Having worked closely with the CBSO for several years now, we both pride ourselves in delivering memorable experiences to our guests."

To celebrate this announcement, Hyatt Regency Birmingham and the CBSO are running a competition to win two tickets to see the CBSO’s Viennese New Year concert in association with Hyatt Regency Birmingham at 3pm on Sunday 8 January 2023 at Symphony Hall, plus Dinner, Bed & Breakfast for two at Hyatt Regency Birmingham on either Saturday 7 or Sunday 8 January 2023.
