The French hotel brand selected the West Midlands hotel as the first within its UK portfolio to benefit from a major renovation programme.

Based in Aston just 1km from Birmingham city centre, the hotel has been transformed to better represent Campanile’s values of providing a convivial culture for guests, promoting socialising and the sharing of experiences - not just bedrooms.

The refurbishment has created a number of new positions, with recruitment ongoing for front of house, restaurant and housekeeping positions.

Mark Aldridge, Director of Operations, Louvre Hotels Group UK, commented: “We’re delighted with the outcome of the extensive renovation work at our Birmingham hotel, which has undergone a modern and stylish makeover. We’re looking forward to welcoming back our loyal guests as well as seeing some new faces.

‘Birmingham was an ideal location for us to commence the programme of works given the huge amount of development underway in the city and its flourishing economic prospects. We’re very proud to be able to call Birmingham home and be contributing to the vibrancy that can be felt by those living, working or visiting the city. The investment firmly underpins our continued efforts to offer comfort, convenience and conviviality in practical locations at affordable prices.”

The bedrooms have all received a modern, stylish makeover, and feature comfortable, luxury bedding, flat TV screen, equipped with freeview channels, high-speed wifi, and the bathrooms have been fitted with eco-friendly showers.

The introduction of the stylish Open Lobby area provides guests with a space to relax, meet, work, dine from the bar menu and drink at their own leisure.

Campanile is part of global hospitality company, the Louvre Hotel Group, which boasts a portfolio of 2,650 hotels in 53 countries. These range from one to five star hotels including Golden Tulip, Royal Tulip and Chinese brand, Metropolo.

Campanile Birmingham is one of 17 Campanile hotels in the UK and one of 400 worldwide, following the establishment of the first hotel in France in 1976. Hotels in Manchester, Glasgow and Dartford are being targeted for future renovations following the completion of the work in Birmingham.
