Marriott’s lifestyle boutique brand Moxy Hotels has confirmed its latest UK opening at Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre, with a 224 bedroomed hotel ready for January 22nd, 2020.

Famed for theming the hotels in respect of their locality, Moxy’s newest addition to their growing portfolio will be no different.  Moxy Birmingham NEC will be filled with stylish nods to the music industry at the heart of its interior design, thanks to being within walking distance of the NEC, where the arena hosts some of the world’s most famous bands and musicians.

Creating 21 jobs, Belvar, the management group operating the hotel, has drafted in 36 year old Vicky Glover to head up the opening, bringing with her a wealth of experience to the new, young Moxy brand.   Originally from Bromsgrove in Worcestershire, Vicky has worked in the hospitality industry for over 16 years with the Holiday Inn Express chain.  She has been instrumental in opening 2 hotels previously including Redditch and one of the biggest Holiday Inn Express hotels in the country at Birmingham city centre.  On being appointed ‘Captain’, the brand’s take on a General Manager, Vicky commented; “This is a fantastic new challenge for me and I’m excited to bring the Moxy brand to a city that I know so well.   Travellers will discover something unique at the hotel with phenomenal high-tech features, buzzing social spaces and a real fun vibe to the communal areas and bedrooms.”

Donovan Sumner, Director of Operations at Belvar, the management group operating the Moxy hotel, added; “This will be our 9th UK opening in just over 3 years.  The NEC is a great destination, alive and buzzing with events on a daily basis.  Vicky’s knowledge of the area and industry will be instrumental to this next launch.  When we open the doors in January, we want our guests at Moxy Birmingham NEC to have as much fun at the hotel as they would heading to an event at the arena.”

I really love such places, and I began to visit them only in the field of consultations with a psychologist with whom I worked for quite a long time https://www.australiacounselling.com.au/ I am very glad that I met such a specialist, who quickly returned me to life. His advice and technique are simply priceless. It is very important to meet a competent specialist.
