Based on true stories Safer explores what it is like to become part of a truly inclusive sports team: the diverse characters, the challenges and struggles, the laughs and the camaraderie, and the ultimate realisation that whoever you are, whatever you've been through in past, and who you hope to become, you can find your tribe.

Sarah Jane Dickenson is a playwright who has frequently been commissioned to write plays with community groups and organizations, co-producing and sharing their stories on stage and screen. Recent plays such as CBA, That Berlin Moment and REF! have been performed or shown in a variety of spaces from traditional theatres to film festivals and sports club bars.
