Edward Burne Jones - Birmingham Legend

About

"I mean by a picture a beautiful romantic dream of something that never was, never will be - in a light better than any light that ever shone - in a land no-one can define, or remember, only desire."

The Birmingham-born Sir Edward Burne-Jones was a key figure in the arts of Victorian Britain, and his output was rich and varied. Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery has the largest collection of his work, encompassing drawings, watercolours, oils and designs for stained glass windows and tapestries.

Join Rachael Saice as she discusses in depth a range of artworks, examining the subjects, symbols, technique and inspiration of this imaginative, romantic and visionary artist.

This online lecture will be delivered via Zoom. Once you have signed up to the lecture, a unique invite will be sent for an online Zoom webinar, along with instructions of how to log on.
