Found An exhibition by Art Textiles: Made in Britain

The group, originally formed by Hilary Beattie, has always aimed to show the diversity of British art textiles, in art, quilts, embroidery and other mixed media. Found is the fourth exhibition in their sequence that the group have presented. The Found concept proved to be an exciting source of inspiration, particularly rich in meaning: revealed strata, found fabrics from the past evoking memory, recycled objects or rediscovered treasure. The group show that in these challenging times, more than ever, art and stitch play such an important role in our lives.
