About

An award winning, unspoilt, 17th Century country pub in a beautiful canalside setting near Henley in Arden.

Situated in the heart of Shakespeare country just a few miles from the M40/M42 motorways and only a 20 minute drive from the NEC our truly rural setting is “heaven; an English Eden” according to the Telegraph article (Sept 2009).
Home of the famous Fleur de Lys pies, it's a great place to eat and relax with friends; low ceilings with oak beams, open fires, real ales and pub games (including a free skittle alley) help to create a cosy and relaxed atmosphere, while the pub's very own ghost keeps things a little more exciting!
Our pie menu has been brought into the 21st Century taking influences from around the world….with the traditional British steak and kidney pie offered alongside the mediterranean Matador pie or the oriental Thai Chook pie. We offer a minimum of 8 different varieties of pie including 2 vegetarian options, so are sure you’ll find something to tempt you.

Special offer to our NEC customers – Discount of 20% off your main meal.
Please quote NEC 2112 when booking / ordering.
