Award-winning events and conference venue, Millennium Point, has seen a surge in event enquiries demonstrating confidence that in-person business events are steadily making a comeback to the corporate calendar.

Since fully reopening its 17 diverse events spaces in July, Millennium Point has reported a 26% increase in enquiries each month for corporate events taking place in 2021 and 2022, with an impressive increase in overall enquiries of 96% between April 2021 and July 2021.

Millennium Point has recently invested over £350,000 to upgrade its 354-seater auditorium to support the delivery of hybrid events, and it is fast becoming a popular destination for large-scale events, conferences, esports tournaments and screenings, owing to its space flexibility, enhanced audio and visual capabilities, improved support facilities, and high-quality live streaming for wider reach.

The venue has also announced its brand-new Christmas packages for December 2021, offering businesses a choice of unique festive-themed party experiences, ideally suited for those looking to have an extra special celebration with their employees this year. Businesses that confirm their booking by Friday 22 October can enjoy an exclusive early bird offer.

Rebecca Delmore, Commercial Director at Millennium Point, said: “We are delighted to see the increase in enquiries from event bookers over the last 6 months. We think this demonstrates a real appetite for in-person events and a strong commitment to business activity resuming in the region. The surge in enquiries has come following a significant investment in Millennium Point’s facilities, particularly in our auditorium, events, and meeting spaces.

“We have a really exciting events schedule coming up and can’t wait to kick-start the festive season with the return of our much-loved Christmas party packages. And in early 2022, we’re thrilled to be unveiling a brand-new installation at Millennium Point which will create an unbelievable experience and talking point for on-site events - watch this space!”

Millennium Point has recently launched a new website and booking system to improve the customer experience, including detailed floor plans, smart search function and interactive features.

Rebecca continued, “We have been very pleased to see enquiries from a much broader and more diverse audience who are looking for flexible and hybrid event spaces. The increase and diversity we have seen in booking enquiries is a very promising start and shows that the appetite for events has been reignited after a long hiatus.”

All profits from Millennium Point’s events business are reinvested into the organisation’s charitable trust, which supports STEM-related organisations, projects, and initiatives in Birmingham and across the West Midlands - giving clients opportunities to widen their CSR with every booking they make.
