Pop up cinema showcase

About

This year at IET Birmingham: Austin court we’ve made some fantastic upgrades to our city centre venue, including the kingston theatre.

We’d love for you and a plus one to come and see the new developments and would like to invite you to our pop up cinema showcase 30 January 2020!

RSVP by 24 January to austincourt@ietvenues.co.uk or 0121 600 7500

WHAT TO EXPECT ON THE NIGHT:

– 6pm start

– Drinks on arrival

– Light dinner

– Short venue tour

– Film (shown in HD quality)

CHOOSE THE FILM

As part of the Institution of Engineering and Technology we’ve recently installed a series of engineering exhibits across the venue. To celebrate these new exhibits, we’re giving you the opportunity to vote for one of these two STEM related films to see on the night.

HIDDEN FIGURES
The story of a team of female African-American mathematicians who served a vital role in NASA during the early years of the U.S. space program.

THE IMITATION GAME
During World War II, the English mathematical genius Alan Turing tries to crack the German Enigma code with help from fellow mathematicians.

KINGSTON THEATRE UPGRADES

During the showcase you’ll be able to experience the upgrades made to the Kingston Theatre (150 seated capacity).

It’s transformed into a live event space, which can be used for a variety of events such as exhibitions, product launches, lectures, award ceremonies, presentations and of course pop up cinemas!

KEY UPGRADE FEATURES:

– New state of the art sound system which provides any event with a rich sound experience, especially beneficial for award ceremonies (and film screenings).

– Two new HD projection walls either side of the stage that can be used for extra branding or social media feeds.

– New LED coloured lighting which can add impact to any event and enables creativity when it comes to presentations. Alternatively, it can be used to add further branding.
