Halloween Half Term Hauntings and Happenings Artwork

About

Join us this half term for some seriously spooky goings on! From ghostly apparitions and cursed transportation, to odd noises in the trap shop - our villagers are looking for help! In desperation, a wise local person known only as the 'white rabbit' has been called in to find out what is going on. Can you help them banish the supernatural and free the villagers from these strange hauntings?

This half term, you'll learn all about the paranormal and help our characters to ward off evil spirits in these unexplained happenings. Do you believe there are gremlins in the machines that are causing mishap? Help the police to see if there is tomfoolery at play here - are there pranksters at work or is it really the supernatural?

Plus, you'll find out what superstitions are forcing the miners to refuse work down the pit; discover local folklore, traditions and trickery from the quack doctor and fortune tellers; and you might even get a glimpse of our resident ghoul!

Whether you believe or not, something strange is at play, so come along and investigate the hauntings and happenings to see what you and your family can find around the museum's village.

Plus, pop on your spooky costume and join us for extended opening hours on Saturday 31 October, when we're open 10am – 8pm!
