Family Morning

About

How might our kitchen cabinets nurture play, self-care and enrich our lives with colour? Inspired by Peasants and Proverbs: Pieter Brueghel the Younger as Moralist and Entrepreneur, artist Georgina invites parents, carers and pre-schoolers (0-5) to explore food as culture, dyestuff and medicine in these practical, playful sessions.

We will look at food in the time of Breughel 400 years ago and consider how food continues to connect us to plants, places and the past. Georgina will use her knowledge as a plant-dyer to facilitate all participants to play, look, touch, taste and make, in an experimental and supportive series of creative sessions.

We welcome parents and carers who want to feed their minds, stimulate their creativity and participate in art and making .
