Meet Birmingham Showcase 2011
Meet Birmingham’s inaugural Showcase event took place in the city on 10th & 11th November 2011. In partnership with M&IT and sponsored by Chiltern Railways, the event saw 35 conference and event buyers from agencies, corporate agencies and associations visit Birmingham to discover more about its conference and events offering. The event was also supported by 30 of the city and region’s key conference venues and support suppliers.
During the event, the buyers took in showrounds of Conference Aston, The ICC and Edgbaston Stadium. Dinner was held at The ICC, allowing the venue to show off its spectacular catering capabilities.
On the second day of the Showcase, the buyers attended up to 10 pre-matched appointments with the 30 participating suppliers. This provided the perfect opportunity to make connections and find potential venues for future events, with some venues taking bookings on the day.
Many buyers travelled to the event courtesy of Chiltern Railways, who sponsored the event and were there to promote the new Mainline service, which launched in September this year.
