One of the UK’s most popular contemporary home shows, Grand Designs Live, will be making a welcome return to the NEC for the 7th year running from the 12th – 14th October 2012, showcasing a range of innovative and inspirational ideas for home owners and self-builders. With over 500 exhibiting companies, the 2012 event is set to be the busiest on record.
Visitors will be able to come and explore over six different sections of home wares, interiors, furnishings, kitchens, bathrooms, building products and services as well as the latest gadgets and innovations for home renovations and improvements. Aspiring self-builders will once again be able to book free consultations with a wide range of planning, financial and design experts to discuss their own Grand Design ideas!
This year’s show will be split into the following sections: Grand Build sponsored by VELUX, Grand Interiors sponsored by Dulux, Grand Kitchens sponsored by Miele, Grand Bathrooms, Grand Technology and Grand Gardens.
Visitors can also expect new features at the show including; The Automated Home working with CEDIA and The Nano Village sponsored by VELUX. Located in Grand Technology, The Automated Home will showcase some of the most cutting edge technology in the world of home automation and The Nano Village, located in Grand Build, will celebrate the 100th Grand Design house being built this year by creating a showcase of architectural models of houses from the grand designs TV series.
Other show highlights will include the Grand Theatre which will host a number of hot debates and seminars with a range of TV experts and guest speakers. Visitors can also find FREE advice from architects, interior designers and landscape gardeners in the Ask an Expert feature sponsored by VELUX, and demonstrations from some of London’s top chefs in the Live Kitchen Experience, sponsored by Miele.
For the eco conscious visitor, Kevin’s Green Heroes will showcase a selection of the most innovative green building products of today; some of which are yet to arrive on the market.
Grand Designs Live is based on the hugely popular Channel 4 TV show, Grand Designs, which has gained a huge following in the UK over the last 10 years. TV broadcaster and live show host, Kevin McCloud will be at the Birmingham show meeting fans, chairing debates in the Grand Theatre and sharing his Grand Design experiences with visitors.
