Excellence Awards now open for entries!
10th May 2010
The Heart of England Excellence in Tourism Awards were officially launched on Wednesday 28th April at Drayton Manor Theme Park.
With 18 categories, every individual or business involved in tourism in Birmingham, The Black Country, Herefordshire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Shropshire and Staffordshire should put themselves forward for an award.
Previous award winners have seen a higher public profile lead to a direct increase in bookings and visitors, so there are real business benefits to entering.
All the awards are free to enter, with a simple straightforward application procedure, and you can download entry forms from the official website.
This year sees the launch of the first ever award workshops which are hosted by experienced tourism judges to help businesses find out the best way to enter the awards. Three workshops will take place in May. For further information and to book your free place visit the official website: www.visittheheart.co.uk/excellence.
This year’s awards will culminate in a glittering awards ceremony on October 21st, when all finalists will be able to celebrate their achievements and find out who will pick up the awards.
Best of luck!
