A top Birmingham conference centre has picked up a trio of awards at a prestigious industry ceremony.
Conference Aston picked up three trophies at the Meetings and Incentive Travel Awards, held on February 28th in London.
At the ceremony at Park Plaza Hotel, the team picked up silver for best academic venue and bronze for both best UK management training centre and best conference and banqueting staff.
The awards were especially significant because they are voted for by customers, according to director of Conference Aston and university catering Fiona Foster.
“It’s a fantastic compliment to the Conference Aston team that we have received these awards which are voted for by the people who use our venues for everything from conferences to weddings,” she said.
“In the last year we have invested in all areas of the business from the refurbishment of the building to staff quality training and I believe we have enhanced the service we offer to all our customers.
“I am incredibly proud that we have come back with three awards to join the two we received last year and that our hard work has been recognised by the industry and our customers.”
Conference Aston welcomes more than 54,000 people a year to Birmingham for training, residential conferences, for weddings and banqueting and to stay in its high quality hotel facilities and on site campus accommodation.
It sits at the heart of Aston University, which is a long established research-led university known for its world-class teaching quality and strong links to industry, government and commerce.
