Climate change conference comes to Birmingham

The Innovation and Investment for a Low carbon Future Conference will be held in Birmimgham on Friday 3rd December at The NEC Birmingham.

The event, run by Climate Change Solutions, will highlight the new opportunities associated with achieving the necessary paradigm shift to avert runaway climate change.

It will combine two high profile morning plenary sessions as well as a major EU Innovations Award and several parallel workshops in the afternoon including exhibitions and networking featuring:

  • the minister presenting the UK Green New Deal and other commitments to meet the UK 2020 -2050 climate change commitments
  • an ambitious DESERTEC, Europe, N.Africa and Middle East project to deliver 100% renewable electricity by 2050
  • major energy, water and technology companies showcasing investment and innovation
  • EU Regions Ecolink+ Showcasing low carbon innovation companies.
  • 8 parallel workshops featuring best practice knowledge transfer, with industry and academic collaboration
