Birmingham’s hotel industry has seen a fantastic boost over the last 12 months, with the opening of five new city centre hotels during 2012.
The new developments cover a range of accommodation types and budgets, and take the number of bedrooms within walking distance to The ICC to nearly 6,000. The new developments are:
- Hotel La Tour – a 4 star hotel in Birmingham city centre, boasting a new concept in city centre accommodation, business services and dining
- Hotel Indigo – the 52-room hotel opens in one of the city’s newest developments, The Cube. It will feature a spa and be co-located with a new Marco Pierre White restaurant
- Hampton by Hilton – the 285-room hotel is the chain’s largest in Europe, following a £30m transformation, located within walking distance to The ICC
- Travelodge – two new hotels in the Travelodge chain opened in the city centre, adding just under 300 bedrooms
Take your pick. The Radisson Blu, the Crowne Plaza, Hyatt Regency or the Macdonald Burlington – all of them perfectly located just a brief walk from the city’s bustling nightlife and offering style, comfort, luxury and indulgence par excellence.
