The Big Bang Fair 2012

Held at The NEC Birmingham from 15th -17th March, this free event is a great opportunity for students and children to experience science, technology, engineering and maths up close in a fresh new way.

The show is open school groups on Thursday and Friday (15th and 16th) March, whie families are welcome on Saturday 17th. You and they will be able to get hands-on with a huge range of activities, enjoy theatre shows and be inspired by meeting some of the country’s leading science, technology, engineering and maths talent.

Build bridges with chocolate. Test your speed and strength, and learn about the science behind your body’s everyday, yet amazing, feats. Explore outer space with the Mars Rover. Learn about the forces behind rollercoasters. Discover how to save the world in 60 minutes. Find out about making movie magic with special effects. Enjoy live cookery demonstrations that show you how the food on your fork gets there. Meet robots, flying penguins and much, much more at The Big Bang Fair coming to Birmingham for the first time in 2012.

In addition to registering for entry to the fantastic showfloor, you can book places on the awe-inspiring theatre shows or hands-on workshops. These are sure to disappear fast, so make sure to secure your places now!

Please note that all visitors to The Fair under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Students aged 16-19 can attend on their own but must bring their Student ID, which must display their name, photograph and age to gain entry. Also, no adults (19 and over) will be admitted without an accompanying child. ID may be asked for at entry.
