IPEX 2010
Ipex is the largest English-speaking global technology event for print, publishing and media, and has been hosted in Birmingham for the past 30 years.
Ipex 2010 took place from Tuesday 18 May to Tuesday 25 May 2010 at The NEC.
Trevor Crawford, Ipex 2010 Event Director, comments on the success of the conference and why it has returned to Birmingham: “Having attracted over 50,000 visitors from 135 countries, Ipex 2010 has been a huge success. With our international attendance increasing by 8% to 48% we were overwhelmed with the positive feedback from exhibitors and visitors. The show has been busy, had real vibrancy and momentum and Birmingham demonstrated once again that it is a global event city that was well equipped to host Ipex 2010. Birmingham’s central location and great transportation links for national and international visitors through the national motorway network, Birmingham International Railway Station and the airport make it a convenient location to get to.
“Our partners at The NEC and Marketing Birmingham have gone the extra mile in ensuring that visitors to Ipex felt welcome from the moment they arrived. They worked hard to negotiate special packages with hotels in the regions as well as special offers on attractions, cultural activities and restaurants to deliver an enjoyable experience outside exhibition hours.“Packed with tips on social programmes, travel and hotel packages, the newly created website, www.ipexinbirmingham.com provided visitors with a great tool to prepare their visit to Birmingham. We’re delighted with the help and support from our partners , clearing demonstrating that Birmingham is one of the major international exhibition locations.”
